Rodyk has a longstanding tradition of community service.

Our partners actively serve on non profit and community organisations as advisors, committee and board members, chairpersons and volunteers. We support and encourage our members to volunteer their time, expertise and talent in helping the less fortunate and giving back to society.

As an organisation, Rodyk actively supports several notable causes through our contributions in cash and in kind, with our time and professional services.

Community Legal Services

Rodyk is a volunteer law practice who actively supports the Law Society’s pro bono projects: Project Law Help, Community Legal Clinics and the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS). Rodyk lawyers regularly provide pro bono services through these initiatives.

Project Law Help pairs law practices with charitable organisations requiring pro bono legal services.

Community Legal Clinics assist needy Singaporeans and permanent residents seeking legal advice in respect of their personal matters.

CLAS
Pioneered in the early eighties, the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme provides criminal legal advice and representation to the poor in Singapore through volunteer lawyers who generously give their time to handle such cases.

The Arts

Rodyk has been honoured to receive, consecutively since 2002, the National Arts Council's 'Patron of the Arts Award'.

Community Service

Rodyk is proud of its members who generously contribute their time and talent to various community organisations and events.

Our members support civic events, serve on the boards of educational institutions and contribute towards racial harmony, crime prevention and the needs of the elderly and underprivileged.

In 2003 when Singapore was affected by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) epidemic, Rodyk advised on the establishment of The Courage Fund, which provided relief to victims and healthcare workers.

Scholarships & Prizes

Rodyk supports excellence in legal education.

The Rodyk & Davidson Scholarship is awarded annually to deserving law students at the National University of Singapore.

At the Singapore Management University, the Rodyk Corporate Law Award and the Rodyk Legal Research & Writing Award are awarded to the best law students in Corporate Law and Legal Research & Writing respectively.
