Rodyk intellectual property & technology practice partner Gilbert Leong is one of eight global winners at the Symantec SMB Visionary Awards 2008. Gilbert was selected from a pool of more than 50 nominees for the award and he is Rodyk’s IT resource partner. The Visionary Award recognises Symantec customers for using Symantec technology, services and solutions in innovative ways to generate tangible business value.

The solution allows the firm to be more responsive to clients by enabling users to work remotely and still be able to access archived emails, while maintaining the security and integrity of infrastructure. Rodyk employs Symantec’s email archiving solution, which, among other things, allows the firm to reduce its backup window by 50 percent and its server storage requirements by 40 percent.

The award was presented at a ceremony in Las Vegas, USA on 10 June 2008. Rodyk was represented by IT manager, Alvin Aw.
