Daryl Ong is a partner in Rodyk & Davidson LLP's Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group.

A graduate from the National University of Singapore, Daryl spent a year of his legal education in the University of Nottingham under its Student Exchange Program. He was admitted to the Singapore Bar in May 2002.

Daryl represents and advises listed and private companies, and individuals, on a range of commercial issues. These include shareholders' disputes, trusts, commercial fraud, insolvency, defamation, and building and construction law. Daryl advises on a variety of issues in the field of trusts and equitable obligations. He has had the opportunity to advise media and telecommunications companies in relation to telecommunications law.

Daryl successfully represented a group of minority stakeholders in the unwinding of a multi-million dollar merger and acquisition transaction, in relation to the undisclosed fraud of the CEO of an ASX-listed company in excess of US$25 million over 4 years. He acted for a founder of a local biotech company, with a paid up capital in excess of S$15 million, in a series of disputes with the majority shareholders.

As lead counsel, Daryl successfully placed a well known electronics distributor, with debts in excess of S$13 million, under judicial management. He was lead counsel for one of Singapore's leading construction firms in a trial and successful defence of attachment proceedings. He acted as lead counsel for a high net worth individual and obtained an injunction in the High Court in relation to disputes over a well-known luxury restaurant in Singapore.

As an appointed Referee, Daryl also adjudicates disputes in the Small Claims Tribunal.
