Successfully acted for the respondent (wife) in divorce proceedings involving stock options worth S$13 million which the petitioner had acquired during the marriage but had misrepresented to the court that they were acquired after the deed was signed. The truth was uncovered during an arduous discovery process in the middle of the hearing. The matter was adjourned while counsel hunted down the material rebuttal witness, the husband's previous employer, and who lived in Amsterdam. Judgement was in the wife's favour, awarding her 25% of the shares, with a total value of S$3.25 million. Rodyk had previously acted for the wife in the original deed.

Successfully defended Straits Far East ("SFE"), the second defendant in a suit filed by construction company Samwoh, which alleged that SFE's director had conspired and/or dishonestly assisted the first defendant to cheat the plaintiff on various contracts that had been awarded by Samwoh to SFE. There were also issues in respect of breach of fiduciary duties. After a 30 day trial, the court dismissed Samwoh's case against SFE and gave judgement in favour of practically all our client's counterclaims against the plaintiff.
