Lok Vi Ming, SC is a partner in Rodyk & Davidson LLP's Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group and heads the firm's Aviation Practice. He was appointed Senior Counsel in January 2005.

Vi Ming is an internationally recognised aviation lawyer and is also experienced in ship mortgage enforcement matters. Vi Ming is recognised in international publications as a leading international insurance lawyer and has distinguished himself by pioneering what is widely recognised as the leading aviation insurance practice in Singapore. He is consistently named in recent consecutive editions of the International Who's Who of Aviation Lawyers. Vi Ming is also featured in Euromoney Legal Media's Guide to the World's Leading Insurance and Reinsurance lawyers. Vi Ming is immediate past chairman of the Aerospace Committee of the Inter Pacific Bar Association and is on the International Advisory Panel of the Registry of Aircraft Parts established under the Cape Town Convention.

A Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, he has been appointed to the Regional Panel of Arbitrators with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Law and is on the committee for the International Promotion of Singapore Law. Vi Ming has been appointed by the Honourable Chief Justice as a member of the Disciplinary Committee Chairmen convened to hear complaints into the conduct of lawyers. In early 2008, he was appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators for Sports Arbitration of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and to the Council of the Law Society of Singapore. He is recently appointed as legal assessor to the Singapore Pharmacy Council.

Vi Ming's practice has taken on an increasingly international perspective. In addition to the appointments above, Vi Ming has also been appointed to the Panel of Arbitration of the KL International Arbitration Centre. Vi Ming also currently sits as arbitrator in an international arbitration before the SIAC and is currently involved in a number of other international arbitrations as lead counsel. He has just also been instructed as Counsel for the Claimants in respect of Court proceedings for injunctive relief pending arbitration proceedings.

In September 2010, Vi Ming was elected as Vice President of Law Society of Singapore.

Vi Ming was editor and consultant to various publications including Modern Advocacy: Perspectives From Singapore and the Supreme Court Practice, and a contributing writer to Singapore Forms and Precedents.

Vi Ming is one of the private practitioners who help the Singapore Academy of Law to promote Singapore Law for dispute resolution, with companies in China. He has been appointed as the head of the China Desk of the Committee for the International Promotion of Singapore Law, a committee appointed by the Honourable Chief Justice to promote Singapore Law to corporations and state owned enterprises in China. In this area, since arbitration is the main focus, the team also works closely with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
