Acted as Lead Counsel in this important Court of Appeal decision on the duties and liabilities of a mortgagee exercising its power of sale. Reported at Civil Appeal 165 of 1996 - Lee Nyet Kiong v Lee Yun Janet, as lead counsel, Court of Appeal before Yong Pung How CJ, Karthigesu & LP Thean JJA. [1997] 2 SLR 713.

Acted as Lead Counsel in this leading Court of Appeal decision on discovery of a report prepared for underwriters by surveyors investigating into a theft prior to the commencement of legal action. Reported at Civil Appeal 186 of 1997 - Brink's Inc & Anor v Singapore Airlines Ltd & Anor, as lead counsel, Court of Appeal before Karthigesu and LP Thean JJA. [1998] 2 SLR 657.

Acted for Caterpillar before the Court of Appeal on the rights acquired by a 3rd party purchaser of stolen goods and the applicability of the concept of market overt in Singapore. Reported at Civil Appeal No. 120 of 1994 - Caterpillar Far East Ltd v Cell Tractors Pte Ltd. Court of Appeal before Karthigesu and LP Thean JJA, Goh Joon Seng J. [1995] 2 SLR 1.

Acted for the Industrial & Commercial Bank and successfully defended the bank from liability as a result of the Hotel New World collapse. Reported at Civil Appeal Nos. 95 and 96 of 1994 - Industrial & Commercial Bank v Tan Swa Eng & Ors and another appeal. Court of Appeal before Karthigesu JA, Lai Kew Chai and Chao Hick Tin JJ.
