Rodyk acted for REC in its acquisition of Shan Xi Education Investment Co Ltd through its wholly owned subsidiary in China, Value Vantage Investment and Management (Hangzhou) Co Ltd, for a purchase consideration of US$6.3 million. Shan Xi provides consulting services in relation to vocational and technical education, training and international education. It also manages and operates a higher vocational institute, Shan Xi Electronic Information Institute, which provides diploma courses in computer science and information technology.

This transaction was led by Rodyk Shanghai partners Gene Chen and Josephine Koh, and assisted by corporate partner Terence Lin and associates Flora Tay and Auyong Hung Mun of Rodyk’s Singapore office.
